BECAUSE THIS JOURNAL IS BRAND-NEW I didn't get to write in it about how I was doing NaNoWriMo or what my plot was, but I figure I can still write about how I won it ;D And I totally won it, although I won it on the 29th which is, I'm quite sure, the latest I have won any NaNoWriMo. (I did once finish JulNoWriMo on the 30th though! At 11.44pm, at that. And by "once" I mean "this year". I guess this is the year of finishing things on the second-last day...)
I explained the plot of this novel on my Dreamwidth and LiveJournal, or at least I explained the basic premise of it and then I started whinging about how there was too much gratuitous violence :P The premise of the novel is a civil war, essentially, so obviously there is a lot of violence that goes along with that. I do think my original outline went too far with it, though, so I'm going to tone it back when I start editing.
If you want to know about the premise in a little more detail, ( it's this: ... )
Soooo... although I've kind of gone back to the novel I was working on before NaNo, I want to finish this one as well and I want to do the idea justice. And tone down the gratuitous violence :x Both these novels are set in the same place (I use the "writing: kalambria" tag for both, btw), but they're disconnected enough that I don't know which it'd be better to finish first. Given that that one is more focused on one person, my NaNo novel is probably better as an introduction to the setting, but on the other hand the NaNo novel also takes place afterwards, so who knows. It probably doesn't matter at all.
Anyway, I think that's all that needed to be said :) I hope all other NaNoers had their own successes in it, too :D
